Nick Wallis is the new Jeremy Paxman! And Peter Martin also staffs his department with the same “grey men” as himself who seem to find it offensive that someone should ask them a question.

Peter Martins department seem to have an attitude that NOTHING should get in the way of what THEY feel THEY wish to do. Their disdain for the people they serve is obvious but it is interesting how far they feel they can go.

Shows that they have a general disdain for all sorts of rules sailing very close to the wind legally and financially. This is a council out of control where policy is rammed through in back rooms without any real regard for the public. Here is an example where PJ Wilkinson suggests subverting the governing body by packing it with extra people who will vote his way.

I complained about this departments behaviour to Lavinia Sealey (Chairman of SCC) and also I believe a member of the ethics committee.. her reaction to the goings on were “sometimes the end justifies the means”… can someone explain to me why I shouldn’t form the opinion that this whole organisation is rotten to the core.

Oddly I don’t blame Andrew Povey – I doubt that anyone could successfully clean this up as there would be just too many people with a vested interest in the status quo to allow it to happen.
